COTI Interphase is COTI's planned app for private transfers between blockchains, and on October 20, 2026 COTI published a dedicated page setting out how it is designed to work and its roadmap. Interphase isn't live yet. The first phase, covering Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and TRON, is planned for Q4 2026 to Q1 2027, and COTI is taking early-access sign-ups. This article summarises what COTI says Interphase will do, the three phases, and what hasn't been published yet.

*Current as of October 21, 2026.*

## The Short Answer

**What Interphase is**

- A planned, non-custodial app for moving crypto between blockchains privately, according to COTI
- What COTI calls its flagship product, being developed by its core team, per the Interphase page

**When**

- Phase 1, Q4 2026 to Q1 2027: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and TRON
- Phase 2, Q2 to Q3 2027: more chains, travel booking and payroll
- Phase 3, Q4 2027 to Q1 2028: a developer SDK and a merchant checkout

**What isn't public yet**

- Technical documentation, independent audits and details of how the routing and compliance checks work

## What COTI Says Interphase Will Do

COTI's [Interphase page](https://coti.io/interphase/?ref=coti.io) describes it in one line: "Send, swap and pay between blockchains while the amount, sender and recipient stay encrypted." According to the page:

- **Fresh addresses.** Each payment goes to a single-use destination address created on the user's device, which COTI calls one-time stealth addresses (see our [stealth addresses](https://coti.io/blog/stealth-addresses-explained/) explainer). COTI says the aim is that nothing on-chain connects the sender to the recipient. That can't be checked independently until COTI publishes the design.
- **Who can see the amount.** COTI's FAQ says the amount is visible only to the sender and the recipient. COTI hasn't yet explained how that works on public chains like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and TRON, where standard transfers show their amounts (more on this below).
- **Non-custodial.** COTI says it never takes custody of funds, and that transfers run through solvers, smart contract escrows and signatures made on the user's device. It says liquidity comes from market makers rather than a shared pool.
- **Compliance checks.** COTI says each transfer is checked against sanctions and limits before funds move, with the check running on encrypted data using its garbled circuits.
- **Selective disclosure.** Users would be able to give an auditor or accountant read-only access to specific transactions or periods, COTI says. This is planned for phase 2.
- **Practical details.** Gas would be included at the destination, and failed transfers refunded automatically, according to the page.

These are COTI's descriptions of a product in development. They haven't been independently verified.

## The Roadmap, Phase by Phase

COTI's Interphase page sets out three phases.

**Phase 1, Q4 2026 to Q1 2027: private cross-chain payments**

- Private transfers on Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and TRON
- Co-signing protection for the temporary stealth wallets
- A private transaction history kept on the user's device
- A pre-flight check that warns before an action could link a user's identity
- Independent security audits of the smart contracts, cryptography and routing

**Phase 2, Q2 to Q3 2027: business and ecosystem expansion**

- Integration into the COTI app (itself not live yet)
- Private travel booking
- Expansion to Base, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Sui and Aptos
- Confidential team payroll
- Read-only disclosure for auditors and accountants

**Phase 3, Q4 2027 to Q1 2028: scale and global commerce**

- The Interphase SDK and a checkout widget for apps and websites
- Virtual spending cards
- An enterprise compliance layer
- A batch multisender
- Hardware wallet integration

![Graphic titled Interphase: COTI's planned phases, as set out on COTI's Interphase page on October 20, 2026, with nothing live yet. Phase 1, Q4 2026 to Q1 2027, private cross-chain payments: transfers on Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and TRON, co-signing protection on temporary stealth wallets, on-device private history, a pre-flight privacy check and independent security audits. Phase 2, Q2 to Q3 2027, business and ecosystem: built into the COTI app, private travel booking, Base, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Sui and Aptos, confidential team payroll, and read-only access for auditors and accountants. Phase 3, Q4 2027 to Q1 2028, scale and global commerce: the Interphase SDK and a checkout widget for apps, virtual spending cards, an enterprise compliance layer, a batch multisender and hardware wallet integration. ## Where COTI's Pages Differ

COTI's main [roadmap](https://coti.io/roadmap/?ref=coti.io) and the Interphase page use the same three time windows and the same phase 1 chains, but their item lists differ, as of October 21, 2026\. Two items move. The roadmap lists a private multisender in Q4 2026 to Q1 2027 and a virtual card in Q2 to Q3 2027, while the Interphase page puts a batch multisender and virtual spending cards in phase 3, Q4 2027 to Q1 2028\. Some items appear on only one page: the roadmap's first phase includes private payment requests with encrypted notes, and the Interphase page adds co-signing protection and hardware wallet integration. We'll update this article if COTI aligns the two.

## What Hasn't Been Published Yet

- **Technical documentation.** COTI's developer docs have no Interphase section yet, as of October 21, 2026\. coti.io lists the Interphase SDK as coming soon, and the Interphase page says it opens to developers from Q4 2027.
- **Audits.** Independent security audits are a phase 1 item. None had been published as of October 21, 2026.
- **How routing and compliance work.** COTI hasn't published technical detail on the solver and market-maker design, who operates the automated co-signer that must approve moves from the temporary wallets, what happens if it's unavailable, who sets the limits checked before a transfer, or whether a blocked transfer is refunded like a failed one.
- **What solvers and market makers see.** COTI hasn't said what the solvers and market makers that fill a transfer learn about its amount, source or destination.
- **What stays visible.** Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and TRON are public chains. Unless the final design changes this, the deposit from the sender's wallet and the payment arriving at the fresh address are both ordinary on-chain transactions, and standard token transfers on those chains show their amounts. COTI's own demo lists a routed transfer as visible on chain. What COTI says it removes is the on-chain link between the two ends. How well that holds against someone matching timing and near-identical amounts (2,500 USDC sent and 2,499.80 USDC received in COTI's example) will depend on the final design and on how many other transfers are moving at the same time.

## How It Relates to What's Live Today

Interphase is separate from COTI's live products. COTI's Privacy-on-Demand, which lets apps on other chains keep data such as balances and amounts encrypted, has been in production on Avalanche since September 2026, according to COTI. Our [COTI 2.0 explainer](https://coti.io/blog/coti-2-0-explained-interphase-coti-global-and-the-new-roadmap/) covers how the pieces fit together, and our guide to [confidential tokens](https://coti.io/blog/confidential-tokens-explained/) explains encrypted balances.

## Where to Go From Here

COTI calls Interphase its flagship product, and almost everything about it is still a plan. To be told when early access opens, COTI takes sign-ups on its [Interphase page](https://coti.io/interphase/?ref=coti.io). To follow the rest of COTI's schedule, see [COTI's roadmap](https://coti.io/roadmap/?ref=coti.io).

*Details checked October 21, 2026\. All Interphase features and dates are COTI's plans and may change. Nothing here is financial or legal advice. COTI will never ask for your seed phrase or private key, and only COTI's official channels (coti.io, docs.coti.io, COTI's Medium blog and its official X and Telegram) carry announcements.*
